Latinské názvy miest v Nemecku
V stredoveku vládla svetu učencov latinčina. Preto sa aj pri tvorbe máp pre geografické miesta, názvy miest a obcí používali latinské označenia. Tieto označenia sa potom často dostávali do starých matrík. Postupne preto uverejňujem zoznam latických názvov a ich alternatív v miestnom jazyku pre krajiny, ktoré sú najzaujímavejšie pri pátraní po predkoch v tomto regióne. V tabuľke je na prvom mieste kanonické latinské meno (často sa totiž pre jedno miesto v priebehu rokov používali rôzne označenia).
